So, I needed a place besides piles of folders with magazine pages in them to house recipes.  Especially recipes I’d tried that we really liked.  A recipe blog seemed like the perfect solution, so here we are.  I typically get my recipes from friends, Cooking Light, Ina Garten, Skinnytaste.com, The Kitchn, Smitten Kitchen, Bon Appetit and Gourmet, etc.  And a few really trusty cookbooks.

I love spending time with my family, and my hobby other than cooking is horses, and I spend a great deal of time with my boys…I have a retired Thoroughbred, and my going competition horse is a Morgan.  They are both very special, and the apples of my eye!  We compete in the sport of eventing, which is like a horse triathlon.  I also love my job – you could call it my hobby as well, I think. 🙂  I am a network engineer for a large vendor in Washington, D.C.
