Spicy Turkey Jerky

Another great jerky recipe for the dehydrator…I’m undecided if I liked this or the beef jerky better!  This one came from Chow.

  • 2 pounds boneless skinless turkey breast
  • 3/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons chile-garlic paste
  • 2 teaspoons dried red chile flakes

Freeze turkey breast until firm, then cut as thinly as possible, removing any fat.  Place in a plastic bag with all other ingredients and marinate 12+ hours.

Drain off excess marinade and blot extra.  Place in dehydrator on 160 degree setting until dry (time depends on thickness).  Once dried, set aside to cool and blot any oil from the jerky before storing in an air-tight container in the fridge or freezer.
